March 19, 2010, Washington, D.C. - Senators Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and John Cornyn (R-TX) today introduced a bipartisan resolution honoring the Iranian New Year in the U.S. Senate.
"I look forward to seeking broad support from my colleagues in recognizing Iranian culture and the contributions of Iranian-Americans by the Senate for the first time." Senator Menendez explained to PAAIA. "This is something that should have been acknowledged long ago and I am proud to lead the effort in the Senate to recognize one of the Iranian people's most cherished traditions."

Throughout 2009 and into 2010, the economy and markets have been in their recovery phase, which has led to greatly improved conditions.
