World Kashmir Diaspora Alliance (WKDA) in a statement has stated that Kashmiri Diaspora has the right to lobby for Kashmir`s freedom struggle in any country and they will continue to do so within the domain of laws of these respective countries. Reacting to the arrest of Dr. Fai in the US, Chairman of the WKDA, Farooq Papa said, "While we do not want to comment on the legal procedures as the matter is subjudice, but if the allegations are based on what the FBI has charged Dr. Fai with, then it is imperative for both the US and Western countries to investigate the shadowy organizations of Indians and Kashmiri Pundits who have been lobbying in different parts of the world against the Kashmir freedom struggle."  These individuals and organizations have allegedly been supported covertly by RAW.

 

These Indian sponsored and supported organizations are presumed funded by Indian Intelligence Agencies and contingents of individuals are running so called organizations as NGO`s all across Europe and North America. We see these individuals and organizations every year in Geneva, New York and Toronto countering the Kashmir freedom struggle with allegations of terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism which is absolutely false. Kashmir is a human issue and right to uphold human dignity and raising voice to stop human rights violations and facilitate the right of self determination cannot be termed as a crime.

 

It is not justified to use Kashmiris as a scapegoat to please India. Indeed, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai has always pursued the Kashmir liberation movement by following the mandate strictly as prescribed under the charter of rights and freedom of occupied nations. The U.S. government pressurized Pakistan and got Raymond Davis, an American CIA agent who shot two innocent residents of Lahore earlier this year, released from the Pakistani government. Based on the same analogy, Pakistan's government should also intervene into the matter and get the release of Dr. Fai as contrary to Raymond Davis, he is completely innocent.  

 

Farooq papa said that Pakistan's diplomatic support for Kashmir's freedom struggle is its stated stand and it must not shy away with pressures from the West or India.
