Dear Palash,

After two months, 70,000 petition signatures and two non-violent confrontations, the telecom sector has acknowledged the problem of dirty-diesel powering their mobile towers. Bharti Airtel however is yet to give a commitment.

Make a donation, get Greenpeace stickers
and a t-shirt.

The telecom sector uses subsidised diesel to run its mobile network towers and the subsidy is not meant for them, causing a loss of Rs 2600 crore.[1] Being the market leader, it is imperative for Bharti Airtel to act.

We need to continue putting pressure on Bharti Airtel to make them act. Support from you will help take this work further. To maintain its independence Greenpeace does not take money from government bodies or business groups. All the work is funded by individuals like you.

Watch our latest interaction with Bharti Airtel and the make a contribution to help continue this work.

What's more, you can get a Greenpeace t-shirt and stickers for your contribution as well. It is contributions from individuals like you that enable Greenpeace to stand up to strong entities like Bharti Airtel, who are hurting the planet.

Bharti Airtel is a market leader and by switching to clean energy, it will set an example for the other operators in the telecom sector. Help put more pressure on the company. Make a contribution now!

Thanks a billion!
