How shall we evaluate this? A Gandhi nude!!

How shall we evaluate this? A Gandhi nude!!

As the report suggests this statue is placed at Mahatma Mandir, where Vibrant Gujarat is being held. It is prepared by a UK based sculptor for Gujarat Govt. at the expense of Rs 20 lacs.

I would state my opinion. I don't mind an artist showing a celebrity or revered figure in nude for whatever intention s/he has to express. My problem is with this Govt's intentions. How cleverly it is destroying whatever little ethics, values ideals and idols India holds!! That's why Gandhi is first converted in to God by calling this place Mahatma 'Mandir'. (God is not human and so no one can aspire to be like him. you worship him, not follow his ideals)... and now USING him as a symbol of 'Pravasi Divas' declaring him an outsider an NRI. And this...

This statue seems to be an 'assigned art'. Lets find out who assigned it and for what intention?! As Govt has paid for it, they are the client. To me it seems a part of larger RSS game-plan (through Modi) to malign Gandhi, undermine the values he stands for and at the same time they can USE this as an excuse to counter liberal argument that "When we opposed MF Hussain for his nudes, you supported his nudes. Now why are you opposing this nude?" Those right-wingers (Hindu/Muslim/Christian all) who are always shouting against such "Liberal Arts"... why they are suddenly installing such a controversial statue from Governmental level??!!
