Can u pls help us organize SHORT FILMS" CONTEST as u may have contacts with Production houses or students in Mass Communication, Films & Media Studies?

 Kindly refer us candidates who can submit short films (less than 39 minutes) 

We will also request to u to help us generate sponsors for the event. Needless to say, we can share profits  if we can become associates.

'Hello Kolkata'    presents

'Bioscope 2013' – Short Films' Contest

on  8, 9 & 10 May    (2 - 8 p.m.)

Venue:-  Boys' Own Library Auditorium, Hatibagan

 

Duration of each Short Film:-  Less than 39  minutes.

 

Best Award for  Film (Rs 3000), Direction, Acting (Male, Female & Child) (Rs 1000 each)

 

           Special Jury Award for Best Social Message   (Rs 2000)

 

 

Each Winner will get cash prize, memento & winner's certificate.

Each entrant will get participation certificate

Production – Input through any Camera & output in DVD

Eligibility - Open to all         Enrolment Fees - Rs 300

Applicant has to submit 2 DVDs of the short film, along with synopsis of the film, credit list, 2 posters (18''x 12'') & a CD with stills from the film. 

After the screening of the film, the Film-Maker will have  5 minutes interaction with the Judges.

"HELLO KOLKATA" is a combination of 3D News-Media & Film Productions. It has an English newspaper & a news web- www.hellokolkata.net. Its upcoming 3 films are:-  'MAKE-OVER' (on Maoist problems),  'SPY-CAM' (on Cyber-Crime)  &   'DOUBLE-CROSS' (on RAW & ISI).   Our 1st film- 'M-FACTOR' - a film by  Asish  Basak  on Islam in India will release all-India soon.

P.S. - 

Apart from starting on our up-coming films & focusing on events, we are also looking for outright sale &/or distribution of  our 1st film-

' M-FACTOR' - a film by Asish Basak on Islam in India. This is a Bengali digital feature film (sub-titled in English).

     Due to its controversial content, the film was rejected 2 times by Censor Board, after being stuck there for more than 7 months. After that, however, after a legal battle, we have won U/A certification from Film Tribunal, New Delhi.

  The film- 'M-FACTOR'-  is a superimposition of Islamic impact on pan-India since 640 AD till today's 'India Shining'.  

It covers wide range of topics like 'Divide & Rule' by the British, India Partition,  Kashmir Dispute,  Rise of  radical JIHAD & HINDUTATVA, Bangladeshi refugee problem, Ayodhya Debate, Godhra Train Massacre, local problems of everyday life that lead to communal tension, etc.

The film  asserts that this land of ours belongs NOT to 'Rama' or 'Rahim', but to 'Ramu bhaiyaa' and 'Rahman chacha'- the quintessential COMMON MAN of India.  

The film also is a Riddle which questions God's mysterious ways and seeks to give every Indian a chance to solve the 'M-Factor' that has remained here since 640 AD, undeniable, unrepentant, irrevocable and irradiant.  

And, yes, as a reward for our efforts, M-Factor' has got more than 50 newspapers & 15 TV Channel's coverage across Kolkata & outside also..
