Dear friend,



The recent incidents of horrible rape and murders have created unrest
in our mind. Therefore, we are thinking of just going beyond updating
our Facebook status regularly. We are planning to create a common
platform to fight against violence on women; and, as a first step, we
have created a petition, and collecting signatures for it. We'll soon
deliver this petition to the Chief Minister and the Governor of West
Bengal. We have collected signatures in Kolkata and Bengaluru, we are
also collecting signatures online. We need your signatures too. Please
follow the link given below, go through the petition text and put your
signature and invite other friends to sign.  . We still need much more
signatures.

পশ্চিমবঙ্গে পরপর ঘটে চলা সাম্প্রতিক ঘটনাবলী আমাদের বিচলিত করেছে
ভীষণভাবে। শুধুমাত্র ফেসবুকে স্টেটাস আপডেট দিয়ে নিজের কাছে নিজেই
জবাবদিহি করার বাইরে গিয়ে আমরা তাই একজোট হয়ে তৈরি করছি নারী নির্যাতনের
বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই চালিয়ে যাবার এক সাধারণ মঞ্চ বা ফোরাম। তার প্রথম ধাপ
হিসেবে আমরা একটি দাবি সনদ বা পিটিশন তৈরি করেছি, এবং এর জন্য আমরা সই
সংগ্রহের কাজে নেমেছি। খুব তাড়াতাড়িই এই পিটিশন আমরা পৌঁছে দেব
পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী এবং রাজ্যপালের কাছে। কলকাতা এবং বেঙ্গালুরুতে
মিছিল এবং সমাবেশ চালিয়ে আমরা ইতিমধ্যেই সই সংগ্রহের কাজে অনেকটা
এগিয়েছি, কিন্তু জনমত গড়ে তোলার জন্য আমাদের এখনও দরকার আরও অনেক সই।
