Marathas may hate Brahmins but in tho...

Marathas may hate Brahmins but in thought & action they are more Brahminical

Upper castes (classes) who have gone up the ladder are not allowing other have-nots to come up. This is a universal problem in India. How then democracy can succeed?

This problem is becoming more and more acute — leading to frequent violent clashes in different parts of India. Rajasthan (Gujjar agitation) exploded recently. If those who have been eating stomach-full for decades want to eat everything and still more, where can those starving for generations go?

That is how democracy is failing in India. Here is a classic case of the Marathas, the ruling class of Maharastra, comprising a formidable 30% of the state population.

Mandal verdict: The state is ruled by the Marathas. Almost every chief minister has been a Maratha, including the present one. Sharad Pawar is their representative in the Union Cabinet aspiring to be the next PM.

About 54% of all educational institutions are with them Of the 105 sugar factories, 86 are theirs. Cooperative societies are in their pocket. They dominate the universities. And yet they are not satisfied. That is how the Mandal Commission (1980) called the Marathas a forward caste. They also form the bulk of the land-owning castes.

Brahmin opposition: With all these plus points, the Marathas have launched a powerful agitation to be classified as a Backward Caste—a claim rejected by all the commissions.

Yes. We do admit that the Brahmins are against their demand and are instigating Dalits and other OBCs to fight the Marathas. When they fought the Brahmins in the famous Pune Bhandarkar Institute case, we supported the Maratha demand. (DV Edit March 1, 2004).

But DV stands for social justice in proportion to the population of each jati. This has been our stand in the AP Dalit demand for “categorisation” of SC reservations.

Hindu mind: The same principle has to be applied in the case of Marathas also. OBCs in Maharashtra are opposed to the Maratha demand. But the Marathas are determined to achieve their goal — even at the cost of war and violence.

Brahmins who control the media and the Hindu religion, which the Marathas also follow despite their occasional anti-Brahmin outburst, can fool and tilt the votes against Marathas in the coming parliament election.

The problem with the Marathas is they only say they are anti-Brahmin but continue to be more Brahminical in thought and action.

Editor launches new party of Dalits & Muslims in Bengal

KAZI KAMRUJJAMAN, SAMRUK HAT, ULUBERIA, HOWRAH DT.,

A new political party, headed by Prof. Abul Qasem, formerly of the Max Muller Bhawan, Calcutta, and one of the founder members of the DV family in Bengal, was inaugurated in the interior village, near Uluberia, Howrah dt. on Feb.22 by V.T. Rajshekar, Editor of Dalit Voice, at a well-attended public meeting of very poor Dalits and Muslims.

Indian Unity Centre, the name of the party, was existing since 1995 (for 15 years) and has already several panchayat members. It also contested Assembly and Parliament elections.

The beauty of the new party (IUC) is it is not like any other election-oriented vote politics outfit. It is born out of a deep socio-cultural struggle. The Editor had long discussions with Prof. Abul Qasem, a German language professor, its many local organisers and took note of its 15 year-long experience. Even Prof. Qasem had contested a parliament election. Though he lost, he did gather a sizeable number of votes.

All these experiments were done in a novel way — not like other traditional parties — but more from the angle of preparing the people for the coming socio-cultural political struggle against their principal enemy, Brahminism.

In his speech V.T. Rajshekar said :

Our young people are fond of quoting Dr. Ambedkar saying: “Political power is the master key that can open any lock”. But repeating this quotation Bahujan Samaj Party was started, Myself and Kanshi Ram were great friends. He also quoted the same passage of Babasaheb Ambedkar. But what happened? Today Brahmins have joined BSP.

I am a supporter of BSP and admirer of Mayawati. Why did BSP compromise because before Babasaheb said, “political power is the master-key” there is an important sentence which is completely omitted. What is this sentence?

This sentence is never mentioned because it is inconvenient to our people who are in a hurry to grab political power.

The sentence is “before forming the political party and contesting election, we should launch a thorough-going socio-cultural revolution”. I am happy to learn that Indian Unity Centre has conducted a fairly good socio-cultural revolution.

Periyar E.V. Ramaswamy was the only person who followed this principle of socio-cultural revolution. He kept himself away from political power.

RSS was started in 1921 or so and it took about 80 years for them to capture power. I learn Indian Unity Centre has launched a powerful socio-cultural revolution. I wish you all success.”

Moinuddin Chisty translated the speech into Bengali.

Earlier, the Editor inaugurated the Dalit-Muslim Friendship Society in this interior W. Bengal village inhabited by the poorest of Bengalis.

The Dainik Statesman journalist, Kazi Masum Aktar, said that Dalits should launch a movement for Muslim reservation.

The educated Muslim women delivered speeches by identifying their enemy “Bengali Bhodrolok”. Prof. Prasanta Mandal, Kartik Chandra Maji, Manoj Kumar from Jharkhand, V.D. Kamble from Nagpur also spoke.

Dalit writer Soleman said DMFS worked to establish the ideology of Prophet Budha, Mahatma Phule, Periyar EVR, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Objective of the DMFS was to work for equality, social justice by annihilating caste system, emancipating oppressed people from Brahminical Social Order.

In his presidential speech, Prof. Sukumar Singha Choudhary asked Muslim women delegates to educate their children to fight Brahminism.

The programme started at 9.45 am, 45 minute late due to unexpected large turnout of delegates coming from different districts: Midnapur, Mursidabad, Calcutta, Hooghly, 24-Parganas etc. In all 1,200 DMFS members including 300 women. Dalits constituted 10% of the delegates including Dalit woman.

Political power will not come if cultrual struggle is ignored

MRS. SAHINA KHANAM, VILL: BAHADURPUR, P.S. ULUBERIA, HOWRAH DT., WB

S.R. Talukdar, a Dalit intellectual, wrote in Dalit Voice on July 1, 1996:

Even if we get the political power in our lifetime, the next generation will lose it if we fail to bring about the necessary cultural changes. One should not forget the example of Shivaji, the Maratha hero. Shivaji built up a big empire. But he was a follower of the Brahminical Social Order. And what happened after his death? The same Brahmins, the Peshwas, dethroned Shivaji’s descendants and captured the power. Our fate will be no different from that of Shivaji if we remain satisfied with mere political power ignoring the more important cultural side. We have to create speedily the do’s and don’t for our future generation.

Addressing the DMFS session she said: the Mughals lost political power due to this very reason. Aurangazeb tried to change the cultural pattern of Muslim society but they did not realise the importance of cultural side. Periyar E.V.R. also stressed on Islamic culture for the emancipation of the Dalits and OBCs. But the shudras did not pay heed to it. Dr. Ambedkar also failed. He opted for Budhism after the partition of India. But Dalit people as a whole did not respond. They wanted political and job (economic) reservation. Brahmins encouraged the Muslims also to adopt this very line so that their cultural side was ignored. Dalits still are not ready to give up the Brahminical Social Order. Dalit-Muslim unity is not possible without a cultural revolution.

Our new party, the Indian Unity Centre, is in favour of Budhist and Islamic culture as both are anti-Brahminic. Dalits should be anti-Brahminic in cultural outlook.

Dalits should be against inter-caste marriage as it will destroy their “caste identity”. They should be anti-Brahminic for their identity and prosperity. Dalits should love Muslims rather than remain anti-Islamic so that Muslims will embrace the Dalits as blood brothers. Dalits should not hate Islamic symbol as communal symbol. They should dine with Muslims without hesitation. Muslims are ready to invite them in their cultural function. They should call themselves Dalit and not Harijan.Socially they should come together. In this way, political unity will emerge from it.

Without a powerful media of our own we can’t fight the Enemy

V.T. RAJSHEKAR

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar said: “A movement without a media is like a bird without wings”.

I am sure leaders of this new “Popular Front” movement know this supreme truth. Periyar E.V. Ramaswamy, who is ranked next only to Dr. Ambedkar as a revolutionary of independent India, had established a massive network of media but only in Tamil. Dr. Ambedkar also had a media. He started three Marathi journals but all of them closed one after other. Brahminical forces finished both Periyar and Babasaheb’s movement. Today, we have no socio-cultural movement in India. The only movement that is going strong is the Brahminical counter- revolution. I am saying this with my experience as journalist for 25 years in the Indian Express and later 30 years as Editor of Dalit Voice.

TOXIC BRAHMINS

We have a fairly good circulation among Dalits, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs. Our website is watched by over 20,000 people, mostly Brahmins in the West.

Dalit Voice being in English and those knowing English in India are not even 5% and most of them upper caste, our circulation continues to be low, but effective.

Every effort is being made to suppress DV but till now the Brahminical forces have not succeeded.

If today a micro-minority of 15% upper castes are ruling India, it is only because of the power of their media which is controlled by toxic Brahmins. See how the English media blacked out your well-organised all-India conference.

Since the new movement you are launching is led by Muslims of Kerala, I have to tell you something important. I have made a deep study of India’s Muslim problem and I am the author of a dozen best selling books on this subject.

MUSLIMS DUBBED TERRORISTS

Muslims form about 15 to 20% of the Indian population. They ruled this country for about 800 to 1,000 years. Such a powerful, culturally rich community is today reduced to slavery and called the most dangerous people. Untrustworthy. Terrorists.

On Feb.22, I am inaugurating a big Muslim-Dalit new political party in Howrah dt. near Calcutta. (see p.6)

At least in Kerala, the Muslims are economically well off and also politically strong with your own political party, media, educational institutions, banks etc.

But in Bengal, the Muslims are dirt poor. They are almost 95% converts from Untouchables. Manuwadi marxists broke the backbone of Muslims and Dalits.

All over India, Muslims are under attack. The ruling upper castes have already finished Sikhs and Christians. They have totally enslaved Dalits . BCs and OBCs have been co-opted. The only people left are the Muslims.

Thousands and thousands of Muslims are in jail. Daily Muslims are arrested, dubbed terrorists and put in jail. No tears are shed.

ENEMY NOT IDENTIFIED

But what is shocking is such an ancient community of Muslims, culturally so rich and endowed with a revolutionary religion, is not able to identify the enemy.

I attended all your different meetings in the last two days. Not one speaker has identified the Enemy who is oppressing you. The Quran has several suras asking you to identify the enemy, fight the enemy and finish the enemy. The Palestinian Muslims have identified the enemy (zionists). Both Dr. Ambedkar and Periyar E.V. Ramaswamy have identified the enemy of SC/ST/OBCs and Muslim/Christian — that is Brahminism.

In Dalit Voice, we have identified the enemy and fighting it daily. How can the Muslims fight the enemy when you have not even identified the enemy? Please answer this question.

HINDU IS NOT YOUR ENEMY

Muslims in India say they are oppressed by the Hindus. Is Hindu your enemy? No. SC/ST/BCs are also called Hindu. But we are not your enemy.

The enemy is the 15% Brahminical forces led by 3% Brahmins. Why I took sometime to elaborate this point because I want to impress you that all your efforts including your new movement will fail if you do not identify the enemy.

ENEMY KNOWS YOUR WEAKNESS

I have given this warning at all the Muslim meetings I addressed but I am sorry to tell you the Muslim leadership is not interested in identifying and naming the enemy. This is your serious weakness and the enemy knows it. The Quran says you should not be afraid of anybody except the Allah. But in India the Muslims are not afraid of Allah but they are very much afraid of only the Brahmins. This is a very serious flaw on the part of the Muslims. Hundreds of times I have warned Muslims. But they are not understanding.

The Quran also tells you to identify the Mustadafeen and join him in his struggle. In India, Dalits are the Mustadafeen. But you have neither identified your enemy, Brahminism, nor you have identified the oppressed, the Dalits.

This is the root cause of your problem. (cheers)

I am concluding by putting a proposal before you as a media man. It is up to you to accept or reject it. No journal in India has taken up the cause of Muslims as much as Dalit Voice. I led a Dalit delegation to Pakistan last year to inaugurate Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti. Again this year on April 13, I am leading a Dalit delegation to Pakistan.

Iran, Palestine, Pakistan and all revolutionary Muslims have recognised Dalit Voice as the spokesman for the entire Indian oppressed.

MEDIA CENTRE IN DELHI

We want to set up a “media centre” in Delhi —an alternate media.

The country’s biggest Brahminical daily, Times of India, has announced heavy retrenchment. All Brahminical dailies will one by one will die. Dalit Voice is going stronger.

If Dalits take up your cause, no Brahminical fellow will have the courage to touch you. Muslims will get enormous courage and strength if we take up your struggle. We will fight the enemy on your behalf.

Muslims are mostly converts from SC/ST/BC castes. You are our blood brothers.

BRAHMINICAL RULERS FEEL THREATENED

You are our elder brothers. But once you got a good religion, Islam, you forgot your younger brothers. And for committing this grave error, Allah is punishing you today.

Let us forget the past and begin a new chapter with the launch of the Popular Front. Dalit Voice “Media Centre” in Delhi will be your spokesman. We need your support.

I want to conclude with a warning:

Right now the Brahminical rulers despite all their powerful hold on the country, are feeling weak, threatened.

This is the reason behind the rise of a more ferocious super RSS, called Abhinav Bharat, headed by Lt. Col. Purohit now in police custody. He and all his associates in jail will be soon released.

There are hundreds and thousands of Purohits in the Army, Air Force, Navy and police. RDX they used to kill Muslims at Malegaon came from the Army.

So be prepared. Their target is the Muslim — not Dalits.

ARMY COUP

As the situation is going out of control and Brahmins are deeply worried about their future, they have consulted their zionist cousins in Israel which has agreed to support an Army coup in India— then launch a war on Pakistan and clamp a Brahminical dictatorship on India. This is coming.

But I am sorry to note the Muslim leadership is totally ignorant of these developments — lethargic. But the poor Muslim masses are revolutionary. They are wonderful.

Before the enemy strikes, we must strike back. What I mean is by launching our “Media Centre” in Delhi for which we are ready. Muslims have full confidence in us.

Media is the real power. Our 30-year-old experiment has shown how effective we are. We are waiting for your response.

BOOK REVIEW

Pakistani scholar’s tribute to Dr. Ambedkar

DR. K. JAMANADAS, SHALIMAR, MAIN ROAD, CHANDRAPUR - 442 402

The book is not only a book on Dr. Ambedkar but on history, Pakistan studies, constitutional law, Hindu mythology, philosophy and literature. The author believes that Dr. Ambedkar provided same services to India as Abraham Lincoln did to USA, though Dr. Ambedkar was not in power unlike Lincoln. Dr. Ambedkar had to suffer unkind, cruel and callous opposition from Brahminical leaders like M.K. Gandhi and it is praiseworthy that Dr. Ambedkar was successful in spite of all caste prejudices. Dr. Kamran in his foreword expresses hope of Dalit-Muslim unity, which can ensure formation of a power that cannot be ignored.

GANDHI DECEIVED DALITS

Chapter 1. Hindu Mythology: Author describes Hindu mythology and the position of Dalits under it. In this background, the author explains the early life of Dr. Ambedkar, his struggle against untouchability and did his education, his journalism, fight for Chavadar tank water rights and burning of the Manusmruti, and Kalaram Mandir Satyagraha, and his attending the First Round Table Conference.

Chapter 2. Mahar Race and Maharashtra: Mahars form about 9% Maharashtra population and explains their martial character, and their forming a backbone in Shivaji’s army. Shivaji was insulted by the Maharashtra Brahmins by declaring him a shudra and refusing his coronation, and how he ultimately got coronated by bribing Gaga Bhat and providing a false, invented genealogy connecting him to Rajputs from North.

Deplorable conditions of Mahars under Peshava Brahmin rule are described and the relief they got under the British is narrated. But the Brahmins revolted against the British in Sepoy Mutiny of 1857 ‘to protest the British policy to recruit Untouchables in Army’, as a result of which the doors of Army were closed for Mahars and Dussads. It was the struggle by Dr. Ambedkar and his father before him that they are again admitted in Army and today we have the Mahar Regiment. How Gandhi deceived Dalits during post-Poona Pact ties, and how Dr. Ambedkar formed Independent Labor Party in 1936 are discussed. The gist of philosophy of Ambedkar has been described by the author as ‘Love to all and hate to none’. He explains how Dr. Ambedkar preaches method of living in the multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-religious societies of the sub-continent.

Why Dr. Ambedkar had to resign from the cabinet and the importance of Hindu Code Bill is narrated.

“Hindu Code was the greatest social reform measure ever undertaken by the legislature of this country. No law passed by the Indian legislature in the past or is likely to be passed in future can be compared to it in point of its significance. To leave inequality between class and class, between sex and sex, which is the soul of Hindu society, untouched and to go on passing legislation relating to economic problems is to make a farce of our Constitution and to build a palace on dung heap. This is the importance I attached to Hindu Code.”

BRAHMINISM DEVOUR BUDHISM

Chapter 3 Brahmanism: Author explains Brahmanism by explaining how Budhism was devoured by Brahmanism about 8th century ACE. Opposing views of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, who stresses assimilation of Budhists in Brahminism and of Swami Dharm Teerth, who stresses the creation of Rajputs by Brahmins to forcibly convert the Buddhists by sword and fire to establish supremacy of Brahmins, are narrated. It is explained how Brahmanism is geographically and racially parochial to the extent of worshiping the country as mother.

Al Biruni’s well-known remarks of Hindus being narrow minded and arrogantly self-centered are quoted, and Hindu tendency to denigrate aliens by derogatory names like mlenchas etc. is explained.

History of Aryan invasion, rise of Jainism and Buddhism, Ashoka rule and later counter-revolution by Brahmins is explained.

Here let me mention, with great reluctance, the style of whole book having rather unconventional use of quotation marks making it very difficult to understand who is saying what. The author talks of two-nation theory leading to partition of India, but omits to mention Dr. Ambedkar’s warning to Muslims in Thoughts on Pakistan that “creation of Pakistan is worse than useless for Muslims as remedy against Hindu Raj”. The author blames Hindu rulers insisting on modernizing madarasas but not the Vedic Pathshalas. This attitude, author feels, could give rise to terrorists like Osama or Prabhakaran.

DR. AMBEDKAR BURNT MANUSMRITI

Chapter 4. Plight of Untouchables: The author explains the disadvantages faced by Dalits and explains how Gandhi’s love for Harijans was fake. He explains how caste is inherent part of Hinduism and how Dr. Ambedkar burned Manusmriti in 1927, and avers that Hindu scriptures are responsible for atrocities on Dalits. But, rather surprisingly, he seems to be unaware of Dr. Ambedkar’s views about Annihilation of Castes, about Aryans being of Indian origin, about caste starting as Brahminic superimposition of endogamy over exogamous society, about Manu not preaching Untouchability, about Untouchability starting late in Gupta age—around 400-600 AD– because of contempt of Budhists and their not giving up beef eating. He also seems to believe in Ishswari Prasad’s false accusation that Ashoka neglected army.

The author compares the Brahminic hatred of Congress, RSS and Jan Sangh-BJP etc. towards Muslims with Anti-Semitic tendencies of Nazis, but omits naming Communists, who are no less caste-oriented. Remember one is Naag Nath and the other is Saap Nath, in Kanshiram’s words.

“POONA PACT” HINDUISED NO-HINDU UNTOUCHABLES

Chapter 5 Poona Pact – a mean betrayal: Explaining how Gandhi and Congress displayed haughty, arrogant, unreasonable and stubborn attitude towards minorities in Round Table Conference, the author narrates lucidly the entire events that took place before, during and after the Pact, including ‘Gandhi-Irwin Pact’, ‘Nehru Report’, ‘Communal Award’ and its advantages and how Gandhi blackmailed Dr. Ambedkar through the coercive fast. He avers that the story of Untouchables is more pitiable, pathetic, and heart rending compared with Blacks in Africa, Red Indians in America, Arab Muslims in Israel, Palestinians and Lebanese.

He explains how Gandhi offered to accept the 14-point demands of Muslims to oppose Dalit demands of separate electorates, how Gandhi’s Bhangi colony was not real, nor was Gandhi’s 3rd class Railway compartment, where upper caste Congressmen presented in Dalit apparels, how this was expensive and how the Brahmin leadership was heavily paid by mill owners. Author explains how Gandhi entered India in 1913 and turned Congress, which was before secular, liberal and broad minded into a Hindu outfit, how he undid the spirit of Lucknow Pact and how ‘Quit India’ movement was in reality against Muslims and Dalits and how Gandhi had lost importance at the time of “independence” and Hindu leaders dropped him.

It is important to understand today how “Poona Pact” hinduized Dalits and ruined them, because even today, many Congressmen and even some Republican leaders praise “Poona Pact”.

Chapter 5 Founder of Secular democratic Constitution of India: The last chapter describes the making of Indian Constitution in detail and Dr. Ambedkar’s main role in it. Author compares his work for Dalits by calling him Sir Syed Ahmad Khan of Untouchables.

The author realizes the difficulty in framing the constitution as it is a multicultural country. A small correction, I like to suggest about facts, is that Gandhi was murdered by Nathuram Godse and not by Gopal, and it was at Delhi and not at Poona. Another fact mentioned by author could be wrong that Muslims remaining in India after partition were majority of landlords.

The author includes a chapter by another author who writes about 20 years of working of constitution. Because it is now 60 years, most of it is water under the bridge. A lot many things have happened since and could have been discussed.

BRAHMIN COMMUNISTS

Danger from Hindutwavadis and Left parties is stressed as even left parties in India are under upper castes, imbibed with Hindutwavadis ideas. How Indira Gandhi turned the constitution to her party advantage is discussed. Multiple language problems, points that military revolution would be difficult but possible, that of flexible centre-state relations, respect for constitution is present till today are discussed.

The author explains how since 1967, the Supreme Court is more and more burdened with constitutional matters, like privy purses, bank nationalization etc. Planning Commission, according to him, is extra-constitutional as it is formed by cabinet and not even by parliament, let alone being sanctioned by the constitution.

Muslim problems and Godhra episode is analyzed to show cunningness of Hindus to split Dalits and Muslims. Devine reservation to temple priests contrasted with reservations for dirty jobs to Dalits are discussed maintaining that these reservations are not compensatory but rights and meant to be for participations. He also describes how Mayawati and other Dalit leaders had to come out against judiciary.

The years of agony of lower castes, he avers, can never be compensated by reservations. “Can the Brahminical society give back to the shudras and untouchables what have been snatched away from them for centuries… Where is the point of justice in it? Without the arrangement of punishment, justice has no meaning. Can the nation or will the governing castes agree to punish those who miserably reduced human species to the shudras and Untouchables?”

A comprehensive book is recommended to everybody.

Meera murdered by vaidik Brahmins for disobeying their order

KULDIP KUMAR, 1269 - URBAN ESTATE-II, HISAR - 125 005

For the first time in known history, Budha initiated a woman, Ambapali, in Dhamma Order. After that for 2,000 years not a single woman (except Sanghmitra, daughter of Emperor Ashok) could enter the domain of Dhamma preachers. It is very perplexing that after a whopping period of 2,000 years, it was only Guru Ravidas who dared to initiate a woman (Meera) to the path of Dhamma preaching.

The life story of Meera, as taught in school books, tells that at the age of 4-5, she decided to marry a Brahmanic god, Krishna. But when she grew up, she was married off to one Bhoj, brother of an infamous Rana. But soon she became widow. Then she set out in quest of god Krishna.

RANA’S CRUELTIES

Rana annoyed with her love for Krishna, made several attempts to kill her but with the grace of her Giridhar, she survived. Fed up of Rana’s cruelties, she left home and reached Dwarka. Rana sent his Brahmans emissaries to bring her back. One evening they found her in a temple. Next morning, the Brahmans showed the odhani i.e. mantle of Meera, to the devotees and declared that she has “penetrated” into the idol of Krishna.

A simple perusal of this cock and bull story reveals that it is nothing but a cold blooded murder.

The reasons are:

(1). No devotee of any stature could ever enter the idol of any god — leave alone a small creature like Meera. Even Sankaracharya, the “supreme saint of Brahmanism”, could not put even nail of his little finger into any of his gods’ idols.

(2). After the event of “penetration”, the physical appearance, life of Meera ended.

(3). Only three things can bring death : i) age (natural death), ii) self ( suicide) and iii) others (homicide- murder or accident). The death to Meera did not come because of these three factors. Hence she did not die a natural death. We find no mention that she committed suicide or that she met with an accident.

(4). No book or story mentions the place where she died, where her funeral rites were held, who lit her pyre, who immersed her ashes into which river etc. It proves that no such thing happened with Meera.

In other words the Brahmins not only brutally murdered her but also disposed of her body without performing any rites.

(5). The Brahmins have the right to commit such an act as per their sacred scripture which declares that as agni does not acquire any sin for burning innocent people. So too the Brahmin acquires no sin for doing any sinful act. Hence what ‘sins’ those sin-proof Brahmins committed to Meera for whole night, is anybody’s guess.

MURDER PERMITTED

(6). The history of Brahminism is testimony to the fact that they murdered anybody and everybody who challenged their supremacy. Even their supreme god Vishnu was kicked by the Brahmin for not doing Namaste. Right from Vritar, Nahush, Ravana, Charvak, Moglanya, Vrihdarth to Guru Ravidas and Meera, the list of their victims is endless. If Parshu, the Brahmin, could commit wholesale genocide of Kshtriyas, what resistance tiny Meera could pose before their mafia might?

(7). A child at the age of 4-5 years cannot take ‘decision’ or ‘pledge’ to marry a particular person. We find no mention in her entire volume of writings that she ever pledged to marry Krishna. Nor do we find any mention that she resisted marrying Bhoj. So the story of her promise to marry Krishna is also bogus. More so a god is always treated as ‘Father’ and never as ‘husband’ or sex partner.

(8). Among Rajputs (clan of Meera & Rana) worshipping the Brahminic god Krishna is not a sin and nor a crime that attracts capital punishment. There were and are thousands of Rajputanis who revere Krishna. We find no mention that of any of other women being persecuted on this plea.

CRIMES OF MEERA

(9). Rather her ‘love’ for Krishna was way of advertisement for Brahmins to increase their income from Rajput families. Hence ‘Krishna’ could never be reason for annoyance to Rana or his master :Brahmins.

Hence the real question is : What ‘crime’ did Meera commit that the Brahmins had no choice but to eliminate her? The series of her ‘crime’ include :

(1). In a clan where a widow was bound to be burnt alive with her husband’s corpse, Meera defied this ‘holy rule’. It was not less than a revolt/coup. She even did not get her head tonsured.

(2). Not only she defied this ‘holy rule’, she also challenged the supremacy of Brahmins who made this rule. Her bani is testimony to this fact.

(3). She did not stop there. She went to the extent of denouncing all Brahminic rituals and dogmas, their scriptures, places of worship, gods and all. She called them matlab ke garji i.e. wretched selfish beings.

(4). The last nail on her coffin proved to be her association with Guru Ravidas who baptized her in Sharman Dhamma. From her writings it appears she took asylum with Guru Ravidas after revolting against the holy rule of sati.

(5). After joining Guru Ravidas’ Dhamma, she invited him to her native place. She offered him greater respect than to the Brahmins. This infuriated them to such an extent that they murdered Guru Ravidas on the spot. However, Meera escaped momentarily.

(6). The most stunning part of her writings is the fact that she described Guru Ravidas as her ‘Giridhar Nagar’ (saint from city) ‘Gobind’ (god) ‘Bhagwan’ (god) ‘Priytam (dearest) ‘Bhedna (secret sharer), Swami (master).

SAINT-SOLDIER OF RAVIDAS

Hence, defiance of Brahmins, Brahmanism and reverence of an Untouchable was the reason for her brutal murder.

The distorted life and struggle of Meera is one of the innumerable examples; how Brahmins can distort facts and history. She denounced all Brahminic gods, avtars including Krishna as worthless. But the whole world is made to believe that she loved and worshipped Krishna. Her Giridhar is made synonym of Krishna. If synonymous names could be basis for declaring ‘Giridhar Nagar’ to be ‘Giridhar Krishna’; should we call all persons having name as Dashrath as fathers of Ram. Or all Arjun named persons as jija (husband of sister) of Giridhar Krishna.

Meera was a soldier in the army of saint-soldier Ravidas who raided castles of Brahminism. Both of them sacrificed their lives to save people from its clutches. But, alas, today both of them are being used as tools to spread Brahminism.

Hindus persecute Dalits even in Pakistan

GIAN CHAND

I am an engineer working in Karachi, Pakistan. I have faced severe discrimination from Hindus in Pakistan. Fought against it and succeeded in resolving a small part of it. Here in Pakistan, upper castes (Hindus) dominate or have major role in the economy in the province of Sind, hence they get share in power though they form a mere 10% of the “minority papulation” while Dalits are 35%. But all the reserved seats of Parliament went to Hindus or Christians. There is no police officer, district magistrate or judge etc. from Dalits.

We feel very happy when we hear that our Indian Dalits have organised themselves for equal rights and also taken the caste discrimination issue globally.

Although we are not organised in Pakistan but we are aware of our rights. As sufferings and sorrows are same, we must have a joint struggle at SAARC level as well globally. In this respect our Indian brothers must take the initiative.

So happy to receive your mail. We are leading a delegation of Dalit writers for the Dr. Ambedkar birth anniversary celebration at Lahore on April 14. You may contact the host at Lahore. You are wrong in thinking that Indian Dalits are better organised. You will get the correct picture on reading Dalit Voice and our books. Even after 62 years of “independence” Dalits continue to be slaves in India — EDITOR.

Brahmins suppressed Lotus Sutra as it will liberate Dalits

MARK ROGOW, 23-DURANT PLACE, FAIRPORT, NEW YORK - 14450, USA

I am a disciple of Shakyamuni Budha and Nichiren Daishonin who would never condone their cordial relationship with the Brahmins and their compromise of the teachings of the Lotus Sutra which teaches the absolute equality of all people.

Dalits are the real voice of the oppressed people of India but traditional Budhists are more interested in the money, power, and influence of the Brahmins. How strange that they place Ghandi on a pedestal while abandoning the true champion of the people, Budha, and his faithful disciple, Nichiren Daishonin.

I am eager to learn about Dr. Ambedkar.

Your question, “How can we revive the Lotus Sutra”, in India is the most difficult to answer. I think dialogues such as ours is an excellent first step. Secondly, if the people are pure through the chanting of Namu Myoho renge kyo and belief in the True Object of Worship, Lord Shakya of the Original doctrine, their land will become pure. There is a concept in the Lotus Sutra of the immeasureable merits and virtues of the 50th person who hears the sutra and experiences one moment of faith and joy. How much greater are the merits of the first person. You, (V.T. Rajshekar) are the first person. Your good fortune, benefits, and good name will be known for 10,000 years and from 10,000 miles afar. Tears well up and joy fills my heart. Please protect your good followers also.

I will send you a 300 daily use sutra books in English and several collectors edition sutra books and several tradition of Nichiren Doctrine glossy print books (the last few that I have). I will discuss our letters with my priest, Rev. Tsuchiya. I am looking forward to what you can provide about your movement and the Good Doctor Ambedkar.

India lost Budhism: I have read all the copies of Dalit Voice you sent and I commend you on your deep interest in the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren Daishonin, the Lotus Sutra’s Supreme votary. The Lotus Sutra will once again spread thoroughout India as predicted by the Great Budhist Prophet.

Budhism has been lost in India, the country of its origin, and must now be sought in the surrounding regions. Thus, no Budhism is found in India anymore. During the 150 years or so since barbarians from the north invaded the Eastern Capital in the time of Emperor Kao-tsung, both Budhism and imperial authority became extinct in China. Concerning the collection of scriptures kept in China, not one Hinayana sutra remains, and most Mahayana sutras have also been lost. Even when Jakusho and other priests set out from Japan to take some sutras to China, no one was found there who could embrace these sutras and teach them to others. It was as though there were only wooden or stone statues garbed in priests robes and carrying begging bowls. That is why Tsun-shih said, It [Budhism] came first from the west, like the moon appearing. Now it is returning from the east, like the sun rising. These remarks make it clear that Budhism is lost in both India and China.” (On the Buddha’s Prophey).

Brahmin opposition: As the Lotus Sutra spreads in India, freeing its oppressed peoples (Dalits) from their mortal bonds, Brahmins by birth are sure to rise up against the Brahmins of great virtue who embrace the Lotus Sutra and revere Shakyamuni Budha. Your people are sure to encounter the Three Obstacles and Four Devils.

With the exception of the Lotus Sutra, all other sutras like Flower Garland, Agama, Correct and equal, and Wisdom periods, and the Nirvana and Mahavairochana Sutras will lead people toward the paths of evil.

India’s Devil king: The false but powerful “Brahmins by birth”, is the Devil King of the Sixth Heaven who now resides in India. Do not be swayed or frightened by Him. It is proof that you embrace the true teachings. You must teach your members this night and day for many will be killed and exiled on account of their faith. Nichiren writes in one of his two most important writings.

As far as violence in the Lotus Sutra, there is no exhortation to kill unbelievers. There is no need. They will have their heads split into seven pieces as a matter of course. Nichiren writes, “Thus, although one may exert ones full effort to save others, it is very difficult to save them from the karmic retribution that they have brought upon themselves.”(On Repaying Debts of Gratitude) Cause and effect is very strict.

Likewise, there is no exhortation not to protect yourself. We must protect the precious children of the Budha at the cost of our own lives. There is lot more to say.

DEBATE

Budhism died because Brahminical enemy killed Lotus Sutra

MARK ROGOW

This refers to the article by Dr. K.K. Sidhu, “When Budha took to armed struggle..” (DV Feb.16, 2009, p.19).

The Kempon Hokke unlike the other Nichiren Lotus Sutra groups of believers take Nichiren Daishonin, The Supreme Votary of the Lotus Sutra at his words. Dalit’s ideas and proposals mirror in some small way the ideas of Nichiren Daishonin. Those who embrace the Lotus Sutra are supreme among the living. Why? Because those who embrace the Lotus Sutra (Namu Myoho renge kyo create the Land of Eternal Quiescent Light in this world of suffering. This is no empty assertion. It is so stated in the Lotus Sutra and affirmed by Shakyamuni Budha and all the Budhas and Bodhisattvas of the Ten Directions.

LOTUS SUTRA IS FOR THE OPPRESSED

The Lotus Sutra is the great teaching for the oppressed peoples of the world, empowering them with the dignity of the Budha, Each human beings birthright is Budhahood which is even more fundamental than life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is that which brings true peace and security in this life and a fortunate birth in the next.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HF22rzF2zk

There is a concept in Budhism, many in body, one in mind. If the people are so united what is there that can not be accomplished. Unity based on profound faith and courage. Nichiren Daishonin writes:

“Although I and my disciples may encounter various difficulties, if we do not harbor doubts in our hearts, we will as a matter of course attain Buddhahood. Do not have doubts simply because heaven does not lend you protection. Do not be discouraged because you do not enjoy an easy and secure existence in this life. This is what I have taught my disciples morning and evening, and yet they begin to harbor doubts and abandon their faith. Foolish men are likely to forget the promises they have made when the crucial moment comes.

MISLEADING RELIGIONS

Some of them feel pity for their wives and children and grieve at the thought of parting from them in this life. In countless births throughout many long kalpas they have had wives and children but parted from them in every existence. They have done so unwillingly and not be cause of their desire to pursue the way of the Buddha. Since they must part with them in any case, they should remain faithful to their belief in the Lotus Sutra and make their way to Eagle Peak, so that they may lead their wives and children there as well.” (The Opening of the Eyes).

We are sure to encounter difficulties, persecutions, and exiles on account of faith we confront misleading religions, philosophies, and the evil authorities:

“When a little boy is given moxibustion treatment, he will invariably resent his mother; when a seriously ill person is given good medicine, he will complain without fail about its bitterness. And we meet with similar complaints about the Lotus Sutra, even in the lifetime of the Buddha. How much more severe is the opposition after his passing, especially in the Middle and Latter Days of the Law and in a far-off country like Japan? As mountains pile upon mountains and waves follow waves, so do persecutions add to persecutions and criticisms augment criticisms.” — (The Opening of the Eyes).

“The late Dozen-bo treated me as one of his favorite disciples, so I cannot believe that he bore any hatred toward me. But he was a timid man, and he could never bring himself to give up his position at the temple where he lived, Seicho-ji. Moreover, he was fearful of what Kagenobu, the steward of the region, might do if he gave ear to my teachings. And at Seicho-ji he had to live in the midst of priests like Enchi and Jitsujo, who were as evil as Devadatta or Kokalika, and to put up with their intimidations, so that he became more fearful than ever.

JAPANESE LOVE LOTUS SUTRA

As a result, he turned a deaf ear to the longtime disciples he was fondest of. I wonder what will become of such a man in the next life. There is one thing to be thankful for. Kagenobu, Enchi, and Jitsujo all died before Dozen-bo did, and that was something of a help. These men all met an untimely death because of the chastisement of the ten demon daughters who protect the Lotus Sutra. After they died, Dozen-bo began to have some faith in the Lotus Sutra. But it was rather like obtaining a stick after the fight is over, or lighting a lantern at midday the proper time had already passed.” (Repaying Debts of Gratitude).

“I explained all this in detail to Dozen-bo at the time of our meeting, though it did not appear that he completely understood. Nor did the other persons present on that occasion seem to understand. Later, however, I received word that Dozen-bo had come to take faith in the Lotus Sutra. I concluded that he must have renounced his earlier distorted views and had hence become a person of sound belief, a thought that filled me with joy. When I also heard that he had fashioned an image of Shakyamuni Buddha, I could not find words to express my emotion. It may seem as though I spoke to him very harshly at the time of our meeting. But I simply explained things as they are set forth in the Lotus Sutra, and that is no doubt why he has now taken such action. It is said that good advice grates on the ear, just as good medicine tastes bitter.

DOUBTS ON LOTUS SUTRA

Now I, Nichiren, have repaid the debt of gratitude that I owe to my teacher, and I am quite certain that both the Buddhas and the gods will approve of what I have done. I would like to ask that all I have said here be reported to Dozen-bo.

Even though one may resort to harsh words, if such words help the person to whom they are addressed, then they are worthy to be regarded as truthful words and gentle words. Similarly, though one may use gentle words, if they harm the person to whom they are addressed, they are in fact deceptive words, harsh words.

The Budhist doctrines preached by scholars these days are regarded by most people as gentle words, truthful words, but in fact they are all harsh words and deceptive words. I say this because they are at variance with the Lotus Sutra, which embodies the Budhas true intention.

NOT TO FIGHT EVIL IS HYPOCRISY

On the other hand, when I proclaim that the practitioners of the Nembutsu will fall into the hell of incessant suffering or declare that the Zen and True Word schools are likewise in error, people may think I am uttering harsh words, but in fact I am speaking truthful and gentle words. As an example, I may point to the fact that Dozen-bo has embraced the Lotus Sutra and fashioned an image of Shakyamuni Budha, actions that came about because I spoke harshly to him. And the same thing holds true for all the people of Japan. Ten or more years ago, virtually everyone was reciting the Nembutsu. But now, out of ten persons, you will find that one or two chant only Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, while two or three recite it along with the Nembutsu. And even among those who recite the Nembutsu exclusively, there are those who have begun to have doubts and so in their hearts believe in the Lotus Sutra; some have even begun to paint or carve images of Shakyamuni Budha. All this, too, has come about because I have spoken harsh words.

This response is like the fragrant sandalwood trees that grow among the groves of foul-smelling errand trees, or lotus blossoms that rise from the mud. Thus, when I proclaim that the followers of the Nembutsu will fall into the hell of incessant suffering, the wise men of our day, who are in fact no wiser than cattle or horses, may venture to attack my doctrines. But in truth they are like scavenger dogs barking at the lion king, or foolish monkeys laughing at the god Shakra.

We, as disciples of Nichiren and I have not an ounce of hatred for anyone.

The SGI breeds evil men. To not confront evil is both hypocrisy and complicity.

“...Rather one should cast away ones body and lay down ones life in an effort to save such a person. One will never grow weary of admonishing him, nor will there be limits to ones grief....” (A Sage an Unenlighted Man)

“It stipulates that, no matter how learned one may be, if one sees an enemy of the Lotus Sutra but fails to admonish that person out of fear, one will fall into the hell of incessant suffering.” (Letter to Akimoto)

BUDDHAHOOD ATTAINED THROUGH LOTUS SUTRA

“What is more, it was through the Lotus Sutra that these Bodhisattvas attained Buddhahood, and because the Buddha fervently admonished them concerning it, they took solemn vows in the presence of the Budha.” (On Prayer)

But Punyayashas admonished him, saying: Ashvaghosha, do not behead yourself. Use that head and mouth to praise Mahayana.” (On Curing Karmic Disease)

“Nichiren, who admonishes them for their evil, is father and mother to the ruler, and the teacher of all living beings.” (The Royal Palace)

The Nirvana Sutra states, Human life runs its course more swiftly than a mountain stream; the person here today will not likely be here tomorrow. The Maya Sutra reads, Imagine, for instance, a flock of sheep being driven by a Chandala to the slaughterhouse. Human life is exactly the same; step by step one approaches the place of death. The Lotus Sutra states: There is no safety in the threefold world; it is like a burning house, replete with a multitude of sufferings, truly to be feared.

JAPAN TURNS ENEMY OF LOTUS SUTRA

Although I myself am only an ordinary person, I informed the ruler that the Budha had left behind teachings predicting such a situation. However, he did not heed my admonitions, but rather began to persecute me even more harshly, so there was nothing further I could do. This country has already become a slanderer of the Law, and by turning into an enemy of the Lotus Sutra, it has also made itself an enemy of the Budhas and the gods of the three existences and the ten directions.

In the Lotus Sutra, it is stipulated that those who bear a grudge against its votary are destined to fall into the Avichi hell. The fourth volume states that the offense of harboring malice toward a votary of the Lotus Sutra in the latter age is graver than that of reviling the Budha for an entire medium kalpa.2 The seventh volume teaches that people who disparage the votary will suffer in the Avichi hell for a thousand kalpas.3 The fifth volume states that after the Budhas passing, when the Latter Day of the Law arrives, a votary of the Lotus Sutra will certainly appear, and that at that time, in that country, an immeasurably great multitude of monks who either uphold or violate the precepts will gather and denounce the votary to the ruler of the country, causing him to be banished and ruined.

These passages from the sutra all coincide precisely with what has happened to me. I am therefore convinced that I will attain Budhahood in the future. I will speak in more detail when we meet” (No Safety in the Threefold World).

“Question: What eye of wisdom allows you to perceive that the Nembutsu, Zen, and other schools of our time are the enemies of the Lotus Sutra and evil companions who are ready to mislead all people?

Answer: I do not state personal opinions, but merely hold up the mirror of the sutras and commentaries so that the slanderers of the Law may see their ugly faces reflected there and perceive their errors. But if they are incurably blind, it is beyond my power.

PRONOUNCEMENT OF BUDHA

In the Treasure Tower chapter in the fourth volume of the Lotus Sutra we read: At that time Many Treasures Budha offered half of his seat in the treasure tower to Shakyamuni Budha . . . At that time the members of the great assembly [saw] the two Thus Come Ones seated cross-legged on the lion seat in the tower of seven treasures . . . And in a loud voice he [Shakyamuni Budha] addressed all the four kinds of believers, saying: Who is capable of broadly preaching the Lotus Sutra of the Wonderful Law in this saha world? Now is the time to do so, for before long the Thus Come One will enter nirvana. The Budha wishes to entrust this Lotus Sutra to someone so that it may be preserved.

This is the first pronouncement of the Budha.

LOTUS SUTRA IS SECRET

“Adherents of the various schools may attempt to attack you by citing the passage from The Treatise on the Great Perfection of Wisdom that states, If one denounces the teachings others follow out of love for ones own, then even if one is the practitioner who observes the precepts, one will never escape the pains of hell. Ask them whether they know why Nagarjuna wrote this admonition, and if Nagarjuna could possibly have been ignorant of how serious an offense it is to slander the true teaching by clinging to provisional teachings.

He stated, The various sutras are not secret teachings; only the Lotus Sutra is secret. He declared that the Lotus Sutra alone is the seed of enlightenment, likening it to a great physician who can change poison into medicine.

Is it possible that he later regretted having said these things, and therefore wrote that, if one denounces the teachings others follow out of love for ones own, one will be destined to fall into the evil paths? If so, he would have been directly contradicting the truthful words of the Lotus Sutra, in which the Budha states, Honestly discarding expedient means and Not accepting a single verse of the other sutras.31

LOTUS SUTRA IS TOPMOST

This is hardly conceivable. Nagarjuna was a Bodhisattva who appeared in accordance with Shakyamuni Budhas prediction, as well as a scholar in the direct lineage of the Budhas teaching. He may well have written this admonition in his treatise because he foresaw that such priests as Kobo and Tan-luan would slander the Lotus Sutra, the teaching that befits this age of the Latter Day of the Law. You should scoff at your opponents for not knowing the meaning of the words they cite. Tell them: Are you yourselves not followers of those destined to fall into the evil paths? How pitiful! Are you not to be counted among those who will suffer for countless kalpas to come? (Teaching Practice and Proof)

Not even the Budha himself could repudiate his statement that, among all the sutras he has preached, now preaches, and will preach, [the Lotus Sutra stands supreme]. How much less, then, can scholars, teachers, and rulers of states use their authority to do so.

KILLING THE ENEMIES

Regarding believers in the Lotus Sutra and Budha, Nichiren’s compassion and protection was in no way different than a lioness for her cubs. Towards the enemies of the Lotus Sutra, those who would harm the Law and his disciples, he was equally fearless and uncompromising:

King Senyo and King Possessor of Virtue, who had destroyed, respectively, 500 and countless enemies of the Lotus Sutra, became Shakyamuni Budha in this world. His disciples such as Mahakashyapa, Ananda, Shariputra, Maudgalyayana, and other countless followers were people who, at that time, were in the vanguard, defeating the enemy, or killing them, injuring them, or rejoicing in the fight. The monk Realization of Virtue became Kashyapa Budha. He was a votary of the Lotus Sutra of great compassion who, at that time, urged King Possessor of Virtue to attack the enemies of the sutra as if they were the ones who had betrayed his father and mother in a previous lifetime.”

We of the Kempon Hokke are disciples of the Lotus Sutra. We live his words while others offer Daishonin as lip service or use him to gain credibility. We will not withhold anything of Nichiren Daishonin’s teachings because he lived the Sutra and those who criticize his way are nothing but barking dogs. The Teachings of the Kempon Hokke are The Succession Through the Scrolls of the Sutra. No intermediary like a special priest or Daisaki Ikeda is necessary.

The SGI should immediately disband and they should humbly approach the Kempon Hokke to receive a True Object of Worship so that they can lessen the karmic retribution they have brought upon themselves. They are not true believers.

To chant Namu Myoho renge kyo while abandoning and causing others to abandon the Lotus Sutra and Shakyamuni Budha is as futile as entering a treasure mountain without hands. If it were possible to attain Budhahood without confronting evil, the Budha and Nichiren Daishonin would be great liars. Here is what Nichiren says about those who chant the Daimoku but go against the Sutra:

DALITS CLOSER TO LOTUS SUTRA

“They entirely look up to groups of icchantikas and rely on them as leaders and, reverencing blasphemers against the Dharma, make them national teachers. Taking up the Classic Filial Piety of Confucious, they beat their parents’ heads and, while chanting the Lotus Sutra of Lord Shakya with their mouths, they go against the Master of teachings.

“If you wish to realize the peace of our country quickly, you should eliminate them (mistaken doctrines) from our country.”

“If the four kinds of devotees of all the countries of the world stop making offerings to the bad priests and take refuge in the Good Law, no calamity will take place.” And finally, in conclusion (very last sentences).

This is not just a call for the leaders of the country but a call for his disciples and believers. That is why so many copies of this treatise was circulated.

Dalit has much in common with Nichiren Daishonin. Thanks to Budha we will overcome the oppression of the Muslims and Christians.

Lotus Sutra is not a cock & bull story

We understand that even some devoted Budhists are upset over DV writings on Budha taking to armed struggle. We assure them we are not publishing any cock and bull stories but facts based on history.

We admit that we also did not know this history. Forget about small people like us. Even the giant Babasaheb also could not get hold of the Lotus Sutra which advocated armed struggle against Brahminical enemies.

VIOLENCE FOR SELF-DEFENCE

Budha and his lieutenants waged armed struggle and finished the enemy. That is how we had about 1,000 years of Golden Age of Indian history.

Just because some people including us did not know of the Lotus Sutra or have not heard of it, Budha’s greatest of the sutras do not cease to be a fact of history.

The Kerala Namboodiri Brahmin, Adi Shankara, physically destroyed Budhism and killed thousands and thousands of Budhists and destroyed all the greatest libraries and universities. These facts are recorded in our history books.

When he could be so violent, why can’t his victims use violence for self-protection?

CHINESE BUDHISTS USED VIOLENCE

Destruction and disappearance of Lotus Sutra is not mentioned anywhere. And that is how even the giant Babasaheb missed it. That is how we very often repeat that if ever anybody tries to write a true history of India he or she will have to write it only in letters of blood.

So, please give us the benefit of doubt. Don’t jump to conclusion.

Before China became communist, Budhism was the religion which used violence to fight violent enemies.

DID THEY NOT KILL GANDHI?

India’s Brahminical enemies knew the danger of Lotus Sutra and took pains to eradicate it from India and destroy it even from our memory.

Therefore, the moment we criticise Lotus Sutra, we will be helping the enemy.

However, even our critics have admitted that Budhism has been totally swallowed by Brahminism. On that there is no difference of opinion. Brahminism killed not only Budhism. It killed India itself. Did they not kill Gandhi?

Abhinav Bharat, the super RSS, used deadly violence to kill Muslims. But when we talk of violence for self-protection, we are being accused of being violent.

So, please don’t play into the hands of our centuries-old enemy. The article by an American scholar Mark Rogow will help understand the greatness of Lotus Sutra and the conspiracy to kill it — EDITOR.

Vipassana good only for individual but not for collective development

CHIMANBHAI KANTARIYA, PLOTNO.235 - AIR PORT ROAD, BHAVNAGAR - 364 001

I am working to spread Budhism in Gujarat. We also built a Budha Mandir. Babasaheb and Budha are our main campaign subjects. I have read your book, Ready Reference to Revolutionaries. My ideas and views are exactly on your lines. I have read all the volumes of Babasaheb, Mahatma Phule. I was president of BAMCEF for 10 years. I wrote a book in Gujarati, Pichhade Samajka Itihas, Pichhadepan ki Mul Vajah, Pichhadepan Dur Karaneke Upay and Bhagwan Buddha & His Manav Dharm, which are distributed free in our region. The book says the root cause of our backwardness is Hindu (Brahmin) dharm and we have no power despite democracy. To solve the problem, the answer is to change dharm from Hindu to Budhism.

I fully agree that Budhism is infiltrated by Brahminism. Vipassana may be a good vidya for the economically strong individual. Upper castes gain more from it than the Backwards. But I emphasise on mass movements. All our brothers and sisters need Vipassana only for individual developments but only at the third stage. At the first stage, all SC/ST and OBC need the ideology of Babasaheb and Budha. The second stage: Budhism and power. Only in the third stage, Vipassana will come. If our service people join Vipassana then they will forget our Backward Samaj and work only for individual development. By this our mission for social movement will suffer. If somebody of our samaj fully studies the thoughts of Babasaheb and Budhism, devotes for social revolution then the Vipassana will not harm that fellow. Because our ultimate goal is to change the system and uplift all the SC/ST and OBC — not individual.

Rulers embracing world’s most hated country

OUR CORRESPONDENT

Bangalore: The co-operation and co-ordination between the Jews and the “Jews of India” is going on at such a break-neck speed that it looks as if the zionist Israel is going to take over India’s defence forces:

Jerusalem: Israel has emerged as India’s largest defence supplier, overtaking Russia. It has signed defence deals worth $9 billion with New Delhi in the last decade, a media report here said on Feb.15. “There is close co-operation and the Indians respect the Israeli systems and our experience in fighting terror”, a defence official was quoted as saying by the Jerusalem Post. (Hindu, Feb.16, 2009).

While many countries in the world have not even recognised Israel, which has emerged as the one single country causing most of the troubles the world is facing, the upper caste rulers of India are embracing the world’s most hated country.

Why Romah Catholic church is afraid of Brahminical rulers ?

OUR CORRESPONDENT

Bangalore: The Roman Catholic church — India’s biggest compared to Protestant and Evangelical churches— has almost 70% women (nuns) in its religious order. Of this Kerala’s Malayali Christians form the single biggest chunk. The nuns in the Catholic church despite being in such big numbers are subordinates if not slaves under their male priestly order.

They do all the dirty work but the priests do the bossing. What right the Christians have to talk of democracy when it doesn’t have it within its own house?

Over 70% of the Roman Catholics are Dalit or tribal converts but the church is controlled by the upper caste bishops.

With so many skeletons in its cupboard, the Catholic church is naturally afraid of the Brahminical rulers.

Sexual exploitation of nuns

Trivandrum: The explosive life story of a Kerala nun, Amen — Oru Kanyasthreeyude Atmakatha (Amen —Autobiography of a Nun), by Sister Jesmi, is selling briskly in the state with its publishers having ordered a third reprint of 2,000 copies within weeks of its release. Not long ago, a study had claimed that 25% nuns were unhappy in convents. Now, there’s more embarrassment for the church with Sister Jesmi, once associated with the Congregation of Mother of Carmel under the Catholic Church, recounting her harrowing ecclesiastical life in the autobiography which, she says, forced her to leave the convent. The revelations could further rattle the clergy that’s already in a spot with the Abhaya murder case. Born C. Meamy Raphael, Jesmi writes in her autobiography that she got her first rude shock when she was a Novitiate. “At a retreat for novices, I noticed girls in my batch were unsettled about going to the confession chamber. I found that the priest there asked each girl if she could kill them. I gathered courage and went in. He repeated the question. When I opposed, he quoted from the Bible which spoke of “divine kisses”, she writes.

Iran goes nuclear ?

Washington (CNN): Iranian scientists have reached “nuclear weapons breakout capability,” according to a new report based on findings of the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency. The Institute for Science and International Security report concludes Iran does not yet have a nuclear weapon but does have enough low-enriched uranium for a single nuclear weapon. The type of uranium the International Atomic Energy Agency report says Iran has would have to be further enriched to make it weapons-grade. The institute drew its conclusions from an IAEA report of Feb.19, 2009. An IAEA official confirmed the authenticity of the report for CNN, but didn’t want to be named.

World War-III: Meanwhile, Binyamin Netanyahu has decided to target Iran after he is appointed Prime Minister. In other words World War-III is right on schedule. Netanyahu described Iran as the greatest threat that Israel has ever faced and failed to mention stalled talks with the Palestinians after he was asked to be the country’s new Prime Minister. Protecting Israel would be his greatest responsibility as leader and condemned “formidable” challenges posed by Iran.

Corrupt Pandit gets light punishment

OUR CORRESPONDENT

Bangalore: A prominent member of the “India Shining” Brigade is sent to jail for 3 years RI on a serious corruption charge. The culprit is the notorious Pandit (Brahmin) in the Cabinet headed by the much more corrupt Telugu Brahmin, P.V. Narasimha Rao (PVN).

The trial of Sukhram, the then Union Minister of State for Communication, went on for 13 years. He formed part of the Govt. of India and was close to PVN who knew everything about the fraud.

The country’s ruling class being Brahminical it is always soft on its jatwalas. Hence Sukhram had a mere 3 years RI that, too after delaying so long.

But the same judiciary and the country’s upper caste rulers become merciless when it comes to Dalits and Muslims.

Did we not say that “India has two sets of law” (DV March 1, 2009 p.8) when it comes to Bhoodevatas?

Criminal justice system dead

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has sounded the grim warning that the criminal justice system had been subverted, with witnesses being manipulated and trials being hijacked with judges and lawyers remaining “handicapped witnesses”. Making the chilling observation, which to many only confirmed the widely held perception of the erosion of the system, a Bench comprising Justice B.N. Agrawal, G.S. Singhvi and Aftab Alam also said that lower judiciary had decayed. “The courts of magistrate and munsif have ceased to be an option for the common man”, the Bench said and compared the lower courts to ill-equipped and ill-staffed public health centres (PHCs) in rural areas.

8 out of 10 children are underfed

New Delhi: The slew of development schemes of the UPA haven’t made any change on the ground. The budget for child schemes increased from 2.20% in 2003-2004 of the Union budget to 5.35% in 2008-2009. But between 1998-1999 and 2005-2006, the number of children suffering from malnutrition went up from 15.5% to 19.1% while the number of kids under five with anaemia rose from 74.2% to 79.2%. The proportion of rural population unable to access the required 2,400 calories a day climbed from 75% in 1993-1994 to a record high of 87% by 2004-2005. Razia Ismail of India Alliance for Child Rights said: “Eight out of 10 children are underfed”. In its draft report, FORCES — a national network advocating child rights — described the ICDS as a “failure”. As of September 2007, ICDS’s supplementary nutrition scheme reached less than half of the children between 0-6 years.

People lose faith in criminal justice

Bangalore: Police, prosecutors and courts have failed in delivering speedy justice to the victims, which is forcing the latter to take the help of those with criminal background to meet their purpose, said Director-General and Inspector-General of Police Ajai Kumar Singh. Delivering the keynote address at the All India Criminology Conference of Indian Society of Criminology (ISC) on Feb.25, he said: “I feel sad to say about the failure of the criminal justice system. People have lost faith in it as they are not getting justice. They are now going to anti-socials to get their cases settled”.

LETTER TO EDITOR

Thinakar, Engineer, 3964-Rivermark Plaza, Santa Clara - 95054, USA: You need to post message about Lankan Tamils plight. You just mentioned that it is all over and Prabhakaran’s bravery is wasted. If it is wasted and if the Lankan army kills the Tamil movement, the Dravidian movement will be dead in Tamil Nadu. Neither the Dravidians in TN have spine to eradicate caste system and make priesthood common across all castes nor do they own up to their Dravidian ancestry. Only the Lankan Tamils could show courage and lead. Yes, if the Lankan Tamils declare they are not Hindu, Delhi will intervene and send its peace-keeping troops to protect Tamils from being killed. Of course, I am not a member of DV, but I was once. I will start my membership soon.

We have been always great supporters of the Tigers. Their third-ranking leaders used to meet us often. Their leaders in London and Paris were DV subscribers. Yet they could not prevent subtle Brahminical infiltration into their ranks. They called themselves Hindu thereby antagonising the Tamil plantation labour who were Dalits and also Lankan Muslims. Tamils in Lanka thereby got divided into three groups. Muslims joined the Sinhalas. Several times we asked the LTTE to shift their operations to Tamil Nadu instead of confining to a small area inside Lanka. The papans constitute the principal contradiction of which the Lankan Tamils were also victims. They refused to accept our brotherly advice. The papans played havoc both in TN and Lanka. They engineered the IPKF invasion which was used to break the back of Lankan Tamils. India is a country of many, many contradictions which the LTTE refused to study even when we pointed out its ramifications. Even now it is not late. The Dravidian leadership inside TN is corrupted and controlled by the papans. Periyar’s movement died long ago. The papans have taken over TN. Before the LTTE chapter is closed, we hope wisdom will dawn upon the leadership — EDITOR.
